1969 Mercedes 280SL - $79,000 (stock #10)

This beautiful, all blue, 4-speed, 280SL was restored here at Classic Restoration and completed Fall of 2007. It has been driven less than 1000 miles since. The car was puchased by its current (and second owner) in 1973 while he was attending CU Boulder and has been with him ever since. During the restoration, the engine was removed for resealing. At that time is was detailed to better than factory specs. The engine was painted, correct cadmium plating was performed, and the original valve cover was polished. Suspension and body bushings were replaced. The hard top was completely disassembled to its bare shell and was restored with new headliner material. The chrome was replated and was painted Dupont base/clear to match the exterior. The blue soft top, its frame, and window are new. All the exterior chrome was replated to show condition. The undercarriage had extensive cleaning of its original finishes with very little painting and a new exhaust from MB. We added air conditioning and a Kenwood CD player. The trunk is properly detailed. Drive/Show with pride.
