1968 Firebird 400 Convertible

This customer has owned the car since 1976 when it wore sidepipes, Mags, and wide rear tires. He was driving this car in Denver when he met his wife. They took the car off the road in 1986 and pulled it out of storage 20 years later. The car arrived here the summer of 2006 and although complete, was tired and well used. We performed an 1800 hour restoration over 14 months. The original 400 engine was overhauled for improved performance, retaining the stock cylinder heads. Doug's Headers were installed along with a Tremec 5 speed. Hotchkiss Suspension and rear disc brakes were added along with wheels from Wheel Vintiques. The body was refinished in DuPont base/clear and the interior was restored as original. Truly a sentimental car.
